Callsign Raises $35 Million for AI-Powered Authentication Platform
Callsign, a London-based startup specializing in adaptive authentication technology, has successfully secured $35 million in Series A funding led by Accel and early-stage investor PTB Ventures. The company’s platform leverages deep learning to enhance security and user experience by adapting authentication methods based on real-time analysis of user behavior and device signals.
Callsign’s platform, dubbed Intelligence Driven Authentication (IDA), goes beyond traditional multi-factor authentication by incorporating fraud analytics powered by deep learning. It analyzes various data points, including GPS location, device type, and user interactions, to detect potentially suspicious activity. By analyzing these signals, the platform dynamically adjusts the authentication process, prompting users for additional verification factors such as fingerprint, face recognition, or even no challenge at all, based on the risk assessment. This approach prioritizes both security and a seamless user experience.

Callsign boasts an impressive client list, including Lloyds Bank and Deutsche Bank, and claims to have deployed its platform to hundreds of thousands of users globally. The company plans to utilize the Series A investment to expand its sales, marketing, support, and engineering teams, particularly in the US, Far East, and Middle East.
