Omnity: A new search engine for finding related documents in different languages
Omnity, a search engine designed to find documents related to your documents, now offers multilingual search capabilities with support for over 100 languages. The search engine can analyze your documents and find related ones from a library of millions. This service can be used to find related documents for research studies, patents, scientific papers, and other documents.
You can upload a document or a short piece of text to Omnity. The system analyzes the text and identifies less common words and phrases, which typically indicate important information about the topic, experiment type, equipment used, and other details. This allows it to find related documents from its vast database. For instance, if you upload the results of a clinical trial examining the effects of a food additive on a certain type of mouse, Omnity would find related documents about other tests of that additive on mice or other animals, or unrelated tests that produced similar results.
Omnity, besides providing search results, also presents a visual graph illustrating the similarities and connections between your document and the search results. The service is available for free to general users. Omnity also provides the possibility of using this system internally for companies and institutions.
