DoNotPay Launches 1,000 New Bots to Help You with Your Legal Problems
DoNotPay, the brainchild of 19-year-old Joshua Browder, has made a significant leap forward in its mission to democratize legal help. With the launch of 1,000 new bots, DoNotPay now offers assistance with a wide range of transactional legal forms across the US and UK.
The new bots are fully searchable in natural language, making it easy for users to find the help they need. Users simply state their problem, and DoNotPay directs them to the relevant bot. The platform automatically verifies the user’s location and provides information specific to their region.
Browder has resisted traditional venture financing, opting to keep DoNotPay free. He is currently working as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Greylock and has partnered with IBM to integrate Watson technology, allowing for natural language processing of legal inquiries.

While the platform currently focuses on transactional forms, Browder’s future vision includes tackling more complex legal processes like marriages, divorces, and bankruptcies. The long-term goal is to monetize DoNotPay, potentially through business sponsorships for specific bots.
Despite its simplicity on the technical front, DoNotPay demonstrates the real-world impact of AI. It offers a powerful example of how technology can be used to provide accessible and affordable legal assistance.
